Meet the Team

MANAGING DIRECTOR

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?

It's A PRIVILEGE when a bride chooses her gown at AP and being part of that journey is a wonderful thing.

WHO IS YOUR ULTIMATE BRIDE?

Elizabeth Taylor, simply because she was a bride so many times but each time she was fabulously fearless.

  • How would you describe your own style?

    Contemporary classics

    What was your bridal style?

I wore a hand cut gown from the one and only Stewart Parvin... in black! I wanted to feel like myself, with no compromise!

What is the key to your BOUTIQUES SUCCESS?

AP are always STRIVING to be ahead of the trend, responding to our brides who are looking for innovative and original designs that embody a unique SENSE of style.

STORE & SOCIAL MANAGER

WHY AP?

Being around inspiring, creative, empathetic and forward thinking women. Creating a genuine and honest bond with our brides.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU GIVE YOUR BRIDES THE MOST?

Trust the process and your stylist. Don’t underestimate how integral your stylist is in finding your wedding look. It seems rather cliché, don’t doubt yourself & live in the moment, and you will create a memory that lasts a lifetime!

  • What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on here?

I love creating content for our socials so it would have to be our recent impromptu photoshoot around George square and the city centre at Christmas time. Sometimes the best ideas are spontaneous. We definitely turned some heads around Glasgow which we loved.

    Bridal trend predictions 2023?

All about the accessories from statement headbands to gloves. Pearls, pearls and more pearls!

How has your role evolved over time since you’ve been here?

Working at AP was my first job since I graduated in Fashion Business at uni. I started as a Saturday stylist but I seen the bigger picture and knew it was the right next step for me. My role is unique to AP as I can utilise my creative skills with our brides creating bespoke looks designed in store, to fully styled looks with separates from our designers. Through long relationships with our designers, they trust us to create bespoke pieces exclusively for our store.

A quote that inspired you ?

“She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails.”

Item in your wardrobe you couldn’t live without?

Probably my Veja trainers, I already have them in two colours!

HOW HAS YOUR ROLE EVOLVED OVER TIME SINCE YOU’VE BEEN AT AP?

I started off modelling for the shop. I loved the shop and wanted to be part of the team, so when I was offered a role in bridesmaids department I jumped. Now I am AP’s bridesmaid specialist and help the whole bridal party to feel beautiful.

WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE FOR A BRIDE-TO-BE?

Make sure when selecting who to bring with you on your bridal journey is supportive and loving. For shopping, I would give your bridesmaids an idea of what you’re looking for before your appointment.

BRIDESMAIDS STYLIST

  • What do you think makes Team AP unique?

The experience we give all our clients. We are powerful and inspiring women and that shows in how we lift each other up.

    Describe your own personal style?

I love to keep up with sustainable trends. It’s no surprise that Vivienne Westwood is my favourite designer.

What's one thing people are surprised to know about you?

I am a student paramedic and hope to move to Australia when I qualify.

What’s the last song you listened to?

    Love Yours by J.Cole

CREATIVE CONSULTANT & BUYER

HOW HAS YOUR ROLE EVOLVED AT AP?

I'm very lucky to have experienced so much at Anne Priscilla and feel proud of my achievements from becoming a buyer to running the stores first in-house collections. These progressions have helped me to progress in all areas of my career and now I have the privilege of teaching as a lecturer in fashion design while balancing a creative role at AP. Now I coordinate our styled shoots, consult on creative content and on the odd occasion, as a bridal stylist in store!

WHAT HAS BEEN A HIGHLIGHT OF WORKING AT AP?

A highlight has to be designing Anne Priscilla’s first collection. It's rare to have such an opportunity, so I will always remember seeing my design on a real bride for the first time. My second highlight is yet to come, as we plan our next buying trip to New York.

  • Who is your favourite AP designer?

I am excited for our new designer Bon Bride. Having had my eye on them since the very beginning, I'm excited that AP will be able to share their modern vision as their first Scottish stockist. AP have always been known for pushing boundaries and have been a proud advocate for British made designs, which is far from the fast fashion model the rest of the industry is consumed by. It feels hopeful to work with such a beautiful brand and it's a huge bonus that they align with my personal taste.

    Describe your own personal style?

I think I'm still figuring that out as I like to play around with fashion. However, I'm now focused more on sustainability and making good investments.

    A quote that inspires you?

"I'll never feel fine, shaping the meaning to fit in the rhyme" which is a lyric by Madison Cunning. The line is in reference to finding beauty out with the confinements of the status quo.
